About the role
The Inventory Control and Material Coordinator is responsible for inventory management functions (counting, cycle counting, part number, warehouse locations, operation of RF scanner) in a manufacturing warehouse environment. You will spend the majority of your day walking, moving around, lifting/handling items, and operating a forklift.
Responsibilities
- Participate in physical inventory process, cycle counts, and annual year-end physical inventory.
- Responsible for the physical custody and overall safeguarding of the inventory and accurate paperwork entry in the system.
- Operate forklift; keep warehouse space clean and organized and all material and items covered/protected.
Requirements
- Must be able to perform all duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of at least 5 years inventory management experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a MUST.
- Strong computer skills, including warehouse management software, RF scanner, Word, and Excel.
- Able to demonstrate proficient and safe operation of various types of forklifts (sit-down, electrical, stand-up) in narrow aisles with inventory at high levels.
- Above average mathematical skills.
- Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of employees and various departments within the organization including customer service, buying, production planning, and management.
- Strong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing conditions quickly all while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Able to comfortably lift up to lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Able to work overtime during the week (typically up to two hours after the regular shift end time) and on weekends as required.
Qualifications
- Some level of college education (associate's degree or other type of certificate) preferred.

Pay
The anticipated starting wage rate for this position is $25.00 plus shift differential.
Schedule
This is a full-time permanent role on first (1st) shift with possible overtime.
