Inventory Clerk - Night shift

Location: Main Plant City Jerome, Idaho

Reports to: Procurement Manager | Full time, Non-exempt | Day Shift (Night shift 6:00pm to 6:30am may be required based on business needs)

About the Role

The Inventory Clerk is a key member of the procurement team, responsible for accounting of parts and supplies, organization, and physical inventory counts. This position assists internal customers, stages parts and supplies for scheduled repairs, and collaborates with team members in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships with employees and departments through clear communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Provide service to internal customers, including locating and issuing parts, and creating emergency work orders.
• Organize stock items, ensuring proper labeling and placement in assigned bin locations.
• Perform daily physical inventory counts using a blind count method.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including sweeping floors and dusting shelves.
• Stage parts for upcoming maintenance and scheduled plant repairs.
• Update work orders to reflect time, materials, and status.
• Cross-train in other department positions to provide coverage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work-related experience.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with inventory control.
• Forklift and/or scissor lift experience is helpful.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective prioritization and time management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Exposure to noise levels up to 92 dB.

Knowledge of parts used in a dairy facility is helpful.
