About the role
The Inventory Clerk plays a crucial role in the Warehouse Operations team at Buffalo Rock Company, managing all aspects of inventory control. This includes receiving, shipping, accounting for movement and shrinkage, ensuring proper product rotation, and resolving discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper product rotation.
- Enter and maintain all inventory transactions.
- Check incoming and outgoing loads for accuracy.
- Verify BOL's, inventory transaction reports, and loading reports for accuracy.
- Verify BOL's against billings.
- Manage inventory transfers between warehouses.
- Review product for date coding.
- Take daily inventory count and process to host system.
- Resolve any discrepancies with proper parties.
- Check all built pallets prior to loading on delivery vehicles.
- Calculate and record inventory transactions dealing with product rework.
- Wear all assigned safety equipment and observe safety rules.
- Complete other activities assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Forklift certification through Buffalo Rock
- Basic knowledge of equipment/tools needed to fulfill essential tasks
Qualifications
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, stoop, reach, and climb.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and warm environment, especially during summer months.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, such as slip-resistant shoes.
