We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to support daily operations in the service department in Odessa, Texas. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity ideal for someone who can balance administrative accuracy with responsive coordination across service, purchasing, and customer support activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming service department calls and provide attentive support to customers and internal teams.
- Prepare and process service invoices, purchase orders, and work tickets with a high degree of accuracy.
- Coordinate the dispatch of service technicians and equipment to help maintain timely field operations.
- Maintain inventory and asset records, including updates to tracking systems and support for physical inventory counts.
- Enter numeric and operational data into purchasing and service systems while ensuring information is complete and accurate.
- Assist with material and purchasing activities by creating requests and documenting order details for service needs.
- Work alongside the Service Manager to support day-to-day service administration and workflow organization.
- Help resolve routine customer service issues by communicating updates and directing requests to the appropriate team members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in inventory control, service coordination, dispatching, or a related administrative support role.
- Working knowledge of purchase orders, purchase requests, invoicing, and inventory tracking processes.
- Strong data entry skills with the ability to manage high-volume and numeric information accurately.
- Comfortable using computer-based systems for purchasing, ticketing, and record maintenance.
- Customer service experience with the ability to communicate clearly by phone and in writing.
- Ability to stay organized while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced service environment.
- Experience supporting physical inventory activities or asset inventory management is preferred.
