Inventory Clerk
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Inventory Management
- Accurately input and maintain inventory data in the dealership management system (e.g., Sys2K, CDK).
- Monitor and update product descriptions, pricing, and stock levels.
- Reconcile discrepancies in inventory records; notify management of inconsistencies.
- Absorb responsibilities for monthly inventory closings and reconcile schedules as required.
- Maintain consistency and accuracy in part numbers, vendor data, and system entries.
- Order Receiving & Vendor Coordination
- Process inbound inventory, transfers, and purchase orders across multiple locations.
- Track incoming shipments, confirm deliveries with vendors, and update system records.
- Support backorder management and vendor communication to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Reporting & Quality Control
- Run weekly/monthly reports to monitor inventory trends and part usage.
- Participate in inventory audits and floor plan checks.
- Identify database errors and work to correct data discrepancies.
- Build custom reports to improve purchasing accuracy and inventory visibility.
- Customer & Team Support
- Provide inventory support to internal departments such as service and parts.
- Respond to inquiries regarding inventory availability and pricing.
- Support interdepartmental collaboration and contribute to inventory process improvements.
- Absorb responsibilities for assisting with training initiatives for inventory best practices.
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with dealership systems (Sys2K, CDK, Motility) strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Calendar).
- Familiarity with inventory processes in RV, automotive, or powersports industries.
- A high attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Level 4+ preferred).
- Experience in inventory control, parts management, or related data entry roles.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
