Inventory Clerk

About the role

Responsible for inventorying, stocking, and delivering requisitioned supplies throughout the hospital to support clinical professionals while managing hospital expenses. This position does not require direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Restocks par locations with products ordered the same day.
• Scans each par location daily and transmits orders.
• Charges out items taken directly from the Stat Room to the requesting department.
• Processes and delivers all phone requests within 45 minutes, unless otherwise noted; exceptions require follow-up calls.
• Delivers supplies to assigned floors.
• Assists in restocking Stat Room supplies upon receipt.
• Advises Supervisor of stock outs and changes in usage.
• Provides support to Receiving Clerk(s) during peak times, vacation, or time off.
• Participates in annual inventory and random cycle counts.
• Rotates product and checks for expiration dates.
• Maintains the Stat Room in a clean and orderly fashion; sweeps floor daily and disposes of cardboard boxes.
• Contacts Supervisor or Security regarding safety issues or unknown persons in the area.
• Secures the overhead receiving door and back corridor door at the end of the evening shift.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; experience may substitute for education.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills are helpful.
• Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Standards.

Pay

$18.26 - $27.13/hour (Grade SF1110).
