About the role

The Inventory Associate is a key player in managing the day-to-day operations within the Inventory Department. This role involves collaborating with multiple departments to investigate and resolve inventory-related issues and inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely support to the shipping department staff to facilitate accurate and efficient order completion.
  • Conduct audits of bin locations as required across various buildings to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company needs.
  • Oversee inventory levels based on audit findings and requests from internal and external customers, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Reconcile inventory data regularly, addressing discrepancies and making necessary adjustments to maintain accurate on-hand inventory records.
  • Work with multiple departments to investigate and resolve any inventory issues or inquiries, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Perform and document any adjustments or moves of inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Generate and review inventory reports, identifying trends and issues that may require attention or corrective action.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support inventory-related initiatives and improvements, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures related to inventory control and management.

Requirements

  • Forklift certified, or be willing to obtain certification to operate power equipment.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Willingness to become proficient with ERP/WMS Systems (previous experience preferred).
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 16 ft.

Working Conditions

Warehouse environment with moderate noise from power industrial trucks.
