Role and responsibilities

  • ERP Navigation: Access D365 ERP system to confirm BOM requirements per machine.
  • Kit Assembly: Package grouping components into carts or "kits" according to specific production requirements.
  • Status report: Print per machine / cart - weekly. Review with internal stakeholders.
  • Requirement Analysis: Calculate total component needs based on batch sizes, ensuring that Units of Measure (UOM) such as "each," "feet," are correctly converted during the picking process.
  • Component substitution: Identify and flag discrepancies or outdated parts, working with engineering to validate BOM substitutions when primary stock is unavailable.
  • Version Control Awareness: High attention to detail regarding BOM Revision Levels to ensure the kit matches the current engineering order changes.
  • BOM Review, BOM Integrity Audit: Inventory Control & Reconciliation: Perform physical counts, report on missing parts, and log any returned inventory back into the system with appropriate reason codes
  • Quality Review: Conduct final inspections of kits to ensure no components are missing.
  • Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Compliance: Strictly follow documented kitting workflows provided by the Stores Manager.
  • Support Fulfilment & Shipping Logistics, Customs Compliance: Procurement Support: Assist with creating, purchase requisitions and purchase orders using MRP System
  • Order tracking & Administration: Track shipments, resolve issues with damaged or lost packages, update system dispatch dates, and close out sales orders upon dispatch
  • Housekeeping: Ensure the work area is kept tidy

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED required, Vocational or Technical training recommended
  • 2 years' experience working in a stores or warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Walk or stand for long periods. Frequently bend, twist, stoop
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to follow precise instructions and picking lists
  • Computer literate with good verbal communication skills for collaborating with teams, vendors and drivers
  • ERP Expertise: Proven experience using ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
