Ensures assigned areas are replenished with adequate amounts of correct materials to support production while maintaining accurate levels of material through accurate ERP transactions, master data maintenance, effective communication, in-depth analysis of material issues, and driving effective continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the accuracy of all material within the assigned areas.
- Maintains accurate levels of materials in the ERP system and ensures necessary areas are supplied with enough of the correct material required for production.
- Actively communicates across several functional areas to prevent manufacturing disruptions due to lack of available material.
- Analyzes material issues that negatively impact the manufacturing process and drives continuous improvement.
- Coordinates activities with other functional departments, work-cell teams, customer vendors, and personnel in other Jabil operations.
- Protects Jabil’s inventory investment and promotes ERP integrity by maintaining accuracy within assigned WIP areas.
- Communicates the status of relevant WIP areas with peers.
- Continuously focuses on improving Inventory Control operations.
- Provides high-quality responses to all WIP-related issues within assigned areas.
- Reviews and follows up on Cycle Counts, analyzing discrepancies.
- Analyzes performance metrics such as downtime, inventory adjustments, rework list, Backflush integrity, material returns, and line inventory.
- Reviews material flow and authorizes adjustments for inventory discrepancies.
- Provides follow-up on Financial Reports (Backflush variations, consumption, etc.).
- Reviews RMA Processes.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- University degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Materials Management, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2-5 years of working experience within or relating to inventory analysis in manufacturing.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- ERP systems experience required.
- Ability to work overtime with challenging deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
