What You'll Do
- Cook up and oversee physical inventory cycle counts.
- Investigate inventory variances and resolve discrepancies.
- Update and reconcile internal costs for repackaged products.
- Review standard and actual costs for accuracy.
- Validate cost of goods sold (COGS) during the month-end close process.
- Partner with the lubricant management team to identify and dispose of obsolete inventory.
- Maintain accurate records related to physical inventories.
- Analyze inventory and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Prepare inventory reports, variance analyses, and breakeven reporting.
- Aid branch locations with inventory balancing and reconciliation.
- Support annual audits and provide documentation as needed.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced mathematical aptitude
- Self-motivated, dependable, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Internal audit experience preferred
