About the role

The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring alignment between physical inventory and system data within SAP, other applicable inventory software, and the warehouse management system (WMS).

Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain all inventory transactions in SAP and WMS, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, returns, and replenishments, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Perform daily audits and reconcile discrepancies between system records.
  • Investigate inventory variances through root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions with operations, quality, and customer teams.
  • Maintain alignment between SAP and WMS inventory records to ensure data consistency across platforms.
  • Monitor inventory levels, aging inventory, and stock conditions.
  • Develop, analyze, and distribute inventory reports with interpretation, trend considerations, and action items noted.
  • Affords assistance with a variety of internal projects and inspections, providing professional guidance and information, and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Supports inbound and outbound processes by validating system transactions against physical movement of goods.
  • Collaborates with receiving, picking, and shipping teams to ensure proper SKU placement, storage accuracy, and inventory flow.
  • Manages customer returns (RMA) processes, including system transactions, disposition, and reconciliation.
  • Safeguards proper handling, documentation, and disposition of damaged, obsolete, or non-conforming inventory.
  • Maintains SAP master data related to inventory, including material and storage location accuracy.
  • Serves as a customer contact for all product-related quality and provides information related to customer claims.
  • Ensures compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain environment required.
  • Experience with SAP (WM, MM, or equivalent) and/or warehouse management systems (WMS) required.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory control practices, including cycle counting, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to analyze and report data effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with competing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across operations, customers, and support teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
