Inventory Analyst
Position Overview
Serves as the hands-on analytical and execution engine beneath the Supply Chain Senior Manager — turning forecasts and plans into accurate inventory positions, allocation decisions, assembly schedules, and reporting the broader Operations function relies on. Owns the day-to-day data and transactions. This is a builder role: someone who not only runs the process but makes it better.
Scope of Ownership
- Demand planning inputs and forecast modeling across SKUs and channels
- Inventory tracking, allocation, and reconciliation across locations
- Assembly / kitting and bundle planning (gift boxes, multipacks, collab SKUs)
- Inbound supply monitoring and shipment data accuracy
- Reporting tools, dashboards, and ERP data hygiene
Key Responsibilities
- Demand & Inventory Planning
- Own the demand models and forecast inputs across SKUs and channels, and work closely with the Senior Manager to turn them into clear replenishment and production plans
- Keep inventory positions accurate across locations, run allocations and reconciliation, and catch stockout or overage risk before it costs us
- Plan assemblies and kitting — gift boxes, multipacks, collaborations — against demand, channel needs, and key dates, keeping every transaction clean and on time
- Monitor inbound supply as it relates to the demand plan (POs, lead times, in-transit visibility) and surface delays or discrepancies before they turn into disruptions
- Reporting & Systems
- Own our recurring Operations reporting such as in-stock position, sell-through, inventory reconciliation, S&OP inputs, and make it accurate, automated, and dependable
- Build the tooling that takes us beyond spreadsheets: dashboards, automated reports, and smarter workflows across the ERP and adjacent systems
- Keep our ERP trustworthy (item setup, BOMs, transactions) and audit inbound shipment records against invoices so the numbers always tie out
- Partner with Finance to own inventory month-end close — reconcile positions and confirm every transaction is complete
- Cross-functional Support
- Work with Finance on inventory values, COGS inputs, and reconciliation
- Work with Sales on channel forecasts, allocation needs, and launch timing
- Keep day-to-day communication flowing with internal and external to keep execution on track, being the source of truth for answers around inventory and reporting
- 2–3 years of experience in CPG (food & beverage a plus) across supply chain, demand/inventory planning, or operations
- Has owned a meaningful portion of the planning or inventory process — not necessarily end-to-end — and is ready to grow scope
- Strong analytical foundation; fluent in demand modeling and inventory math (S&OP, coverage, safety stock, allocation logic)
- Tech-forward beyond Excel — has built or improved reporting tools, dashboards, or automations (e.g., SQL, BI tools, scripting, or no-code automation), not just maintained existing ones
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Sales, and Marketing to support an omni-channel business
- Detail-obsessed, organized, and energized by building cleaner systems in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
- Cin7 (ERP)
- WMS
- SPS Commerce (EDI)
- QuickBooks
- Notion
- FoodLogiQ
