Responsibilities
- Analyze inventory data to support purchasing decisions and ensure optimal stock availability across all service centers.
- Support standardization of purchasing and inventory control practices across the organization.
- Maintain and monitor accurate inventory records, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
- Develop and track optimal stocking levels, including minimum, maximum, and safety stock thresholds based on usage history, lead times, and demand trends.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining reorder points (ROP) to ensure timely replenishment and prevent stockouts.
- Evaluate inventory turnover, fill rates, and aging reports to identify excess, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory.
- Provide recommendations for stocking optimization to balance service levels with inventory carrying costs.
- Analyze purchasing patterns and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Support service center stocking strategies by identifying demand trends and regional variations.
- Aid in managing parts return programs and reducing inventory waste through data-driven recommendations.
- Contribute to operational improvements that support parts sales, customer satisfaction, and dealer performance.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and delivery systems to forecast future inventory needs.
- Assist in maintaining inventory structure and accountability across multiple service centers.
- Support development of reporting tools and dashboards for inventory performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between inventory levels and customer demand.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory control and purchasing workflows.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and external vendors.
- Provide analytical support for fleet and parts-related reporting as needed.
- Develop and maintain data-driven stocking models to determine optimal inventory levels by location and product category.
- Establish minimum, maximum, and safety stock levels based on historical consumption, supplier lead times, and service requirements.
- Monitor and adjust reorder points (ROP) to ensure inventory replenishment aligns with demand fluctuations.
- Use inventory analytics to maintain a balance between service level performance and carrying cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate or redistribute inventory across service centers to improve availability and reduce excess stock.
- Evaluate seasonal trends and demand variability to adjust stocking strategies proactively.
- Support efforts to reduce dead stock through targeted recommendations, transfers, or liquidation strategies.
- Continuously refine forecasting methods to improve accuracy in inventory planning and purchasing decisions.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of inventory control principles, forecasting, and purchasing processes.
- Knowledge of leadership principles and team coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with emergency apparatus or industrial parts environment is a plus.
- Experience with CDK (formerly ADP) preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Ability to function effectively in a multi-site operational environment.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions based on data analysis.

Pay
$73,000 - $76,000 annually.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with no rotating shifts. Paid holidays are included.
