About the role

This position is based in our Austin, TX location within the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that improve the treatment of heart arrhythmias. The US Field Inventory Analyst II will work under general supervision, partnering with supply chain, commercial, and customer service teams to manage inventory across the US field. The role ensures the efficient flow of inventory between the distribution center and accounts, aligning with customer needs and organizational policies. Responsibilities include proactively monitoring and analyzing field inventory to drive cost-efficiency improvements (e.g., inventory levels, scrap, and freight) while enhancing service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Execute processes and develop tools to manage field inventory in conjunction with Supply Chain and Customer Service groups, including transactional processes, documentation, reporting, training, and supporting application tools.
  • Optimize inventory levels and minimize expenses such as scrap and freight.
  • Partner with sales management, sales representatives, and internal leadership to ensure cross-functional alignment on consignment inventory target setting, product rerouting, and phase-in/phase-out projects.
  • Spend time in the field with sales personnel to understand business needs and observe current processes firsthand.
  • Ensure sales representatives are informed of consignment return procedures and organizational policies related to inventory management.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain inventory in partnership with the sales team and internal stakeholders.
  • Implement Use Before Date policies, including field notifications and commission adjustments, and generate reports to summarize stock rotation for USD sales management.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies with customer service, distribution teams, and customers as needed.
  • Extract data from internal systems to create Excel spreadsheets for identifying inventory management issues, expired inventory, stock rotation initiatives, and other stocking concerns.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of information entered into the ERP system.
  • Utilize problem-solving techniques to negotiate consensus with sales representatives, sales managers, and customers.
  • Coordinate cycle count activities with Sales Representatives and research/resolve discrepancies in cycle count reports.
  • Support Company initiatives, including Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with FDA regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors at all levels.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BBA, or BS) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP/Business Objects.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up skills, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Experience working in a cross-division or enterprise business unit model.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.

Pay

The base pay for this position ranges from $61,300.00 to $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the posted range.
