Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist

Per Diem, Mon - Fri with on call, Day Shift with occasional Evening or Night

Position Summary

The Registered Radiology Technologist RT(R)/Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) serves as a member of the Cardiovascular Catheterization Team. Independently performs technical duties associated with procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab, assists physicians in performing procedures and assists nursing staff with patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Catheterization Laboratory and equipment for procedures, maintain supply inventory, and support a clean environment of care.
• Function as scrub assistant during diagnostic, interventional and all other procedures performed in the Cath Lab.
• Function as hemodynamic monitor and control room operator during procedures; provides accurate recordkeeping of procedures.
• Provides high quality radiographic imaging, which includes quality assurance and radiation safety.
• Review documentation, including procedure orders and patient medical record; explain procedure, answer questions and provide a high level patient experience.
• Maintain record of images, reports, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Graduate of Radiology Technology program
• Registered Radiology Technologist through AART
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year (Preferred: 2 or more years)
• License, Registry or Certification: Registered Radiology Technologist RT(R) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent or registry eligible
• ACLS
• BLS

Pay

Hiring range: $33.39 - $41.74 hourly
