About the role
We seek a Cath Lab or Radiology Tech who is looking to make an impact on a meaningful scale. Join us in serving the health care needs of the people of Memphis and the Mid-South for over a century. This is a PRN position.
Responsibilities
- Assists physician/surgeon during cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Performs a variety of testing to assist with diagnosis and treatment.
- Documents care delivered in the patient’s medical record in accordance with policy and procedure for the department.
- Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
- Supports in the preparation, care, maintenance, and availability of cath lab or electrophysiology lab supplies and equipment.
- Troubleshoots various systems and devices.
Requirements
- Technical Degree or Diploma in Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Technology, or Surgical Technology.
- Cath Lab 1-3 years of experience.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Tennessee, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Mississippi, Certified Respiratory Care Therapist (CRT) in Tennessee, Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) in National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCEPS) in Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) in Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) in American Heart Association, Certified Respiratory Therapist-Mississippi in Mississippi State Department of Health.
Qualifications
- Sound technical knowledge of cath lab or electrophysiology lab concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of workflow.
Skills
- Proficient and certified in basic and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) or pediatric advanced life support (PALS) if working with children is preferred, OR certification must be completed within 6 months of hire.
