Intune Systems Administrator
About the role
The Intune Administrator is responsible for managing and securing endpoint devices (laptops, mobile phones, tablets) and applications using Microsoft Intune. They configure and manage device enrollment, implement and maintain configuration profiles, compliance policies, and endpoint security baselines, and monitor device health.
Responsibilities
- Configure and manage device enrollment across Windows, iOS, Android, and macOS.
- Utilize Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).
- Manage device lifecycle processes, including hands-free provisioning via Windows Autopilot.
- Implement and maintain configuration profiles, compliance policies, and endpoint security baselines.
- Pack, deploy, update, and troubleshoot software and applications to end-user devices.
- Integrate Intune with Azure AD/Entra ID and Microsoft Defender to enforce Conditional Access and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Monitor device health, generate compliance reports, and troubleshoot endpoint policy issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Technology, or related field. 2-4 years of relevant experience. US Citizenship required for DOE Q security clearance.
- Preferred Qualifications: Practical experience managing enterprise endpoints and Microsoft 365 environments. Strong understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID and role-based access control (RBAC). Proficiency in PowerShell for automating deployments and system configurations. Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.
