About the role

This position provides interviewer/translator services within the MDH Local Health - Somerset County department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information for program eligibility and services
• Provide translation services between English and other languages as needed
• Assist clients with completing applications and forms
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and data
• Support program staff with interpretation during appointments and meetings

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and at least one other language (spoken and written)
• Experience in interviewing, translating, or related customer service work
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse populations
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills

Pay

$40,975.00 - $53,013.00/year, with potential growth to $64,627.00/year.
