About the role
Under limited supervision, the Interventional Technologist completes interventional procedures including routine arterial and venous interventional procedures well as complicated interventional procedures including stenting and cerebral coilings and procedures using contrast media.
Responsibilities
- Complies with principles of sterile technique.
- Collections and assembles data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
- Responsible for carrying out any other activities assigned by the IR Supervisor or Imaging Services Director to ensure the department runs effectively and efficiently.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- Two-year program or four year BA program in Radiology Technology followed by training in interventional procedures either on the job or from in an accredited program setting.
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 6 months of hire.
- ARRT preferred.
- Minimum of one year hospital department experience.
- On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
Qualifications
