Role Overview
Responsible for performing Angiography procedures, including scrubbing, setting techniques, and capturing images. Provides procedural assistance as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech, adhering to lab policies and safety protocols.
Key Duties
- Maintains licensure and certifications required for the role.
- Ensures proper patient identification, preparation, and comfort.
- Adheres to radiation safety and infection control guidelines.
- Develops expertise in invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies and techniques.
- Supports medical necessity, coding, consent processes, and equipment reporting.
- Transports patients and maintains a clean, stocked work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 2 years of Angio/Interventional experience or VIR certification.
- Effective communication and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques, complex procedures, and emergency response.
- Licensure in ARRT, BCLS, ACLS, and relevant state certifications required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to read, communicate effectively, manipulate delicate equipment, lift and transfer patients, and navigate busy environments.
