Interventional Technologist
About the Role
As an Interventional Technologist, you will prepare and assist physicians during complex interventional procedures, ensuring optimal imaging and patient safety. You will ready the procedure room, operate advanced imaging equipment, monitor patient vitals, and assist with instruments while maintaining sterile fields. Success requires expert knowledge of interventional principles, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative skills in a high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and maintains equipment and procedure rooms, ensuring all necessary supplies are ready and in proper working order.
- Performs and assists with interventional procedures by capturing images per physician direction, utilizing sterile technique, and operating specialized equipment.
- Delivers patient care for all age groups, including assisting with transfers, monitoring vital signs (in conjunction with nursing), explaining procedures, and protecting patients from unnecessary radiation.
- Documents and maintains records by accurately inputting data into imaging systems and electronic medical records, maintaining required logs, and preparing cases for interpretation.
- Ensures safety and compliance by responding to emergencies within scope, adhering to department protocols, and complying with state/federal regulations for patient and staff safety.
- Supports departmental operations by managing inventory, stocking supplies, and handling general office duties such as answering phones to ensure smooth workflow.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, Interventional Radiology, or Special Procedures Technologist (or equivalent).
- Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) certification.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
- One year of work experience in the core level of the job or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Washington State Medical Radiographer license.

$47.03 - $78.40 per hour.
