Interventional Sonographer/UKHC

Located in Lexington, KY, within the H3185:Interventional Radiology department at UK Healthcare.

UK Healthcare is growing once again! We are expanding our Interventional Sonography services, and are hiring for new technologists. This position will provide ultrasound guidance for the Department of Interventional Radiology procedures. The sonographer will assist physicians and APP’s during US guided procedures and be responsible for sterile procedure set up and may assist in patient care during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide ultrasound guidance for Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers (APP’s) during US‑guided procedures.
• Responsible for sterile procedure set‑up.
• May assist in patient care during procedures.

Requirements

• Education: Associate of Science (AS) degree.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Licensure/Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Physical Requirements: Regularly lift, push, and/or pull objects up to or over 50 lb; sit at a computer workstation for extended periods; perform repetitive motions (e.g., typing); intermittently stand or walk with objects up to 10 lb; work at heights above four feet and/or in confined spaces; occasionally stand or walk with objects up to 25 lb; risk of injury from moving/lifting/positioning patients, equipment, or materials; exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, radiation, burns, cuts/punctures, blood‑borne/airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Clinical ultrasound experience, guided procedures, and/or vascular experience.

Pay

Salary range: $36.56‑45.70 per hour.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM‑4:00 PM. No call, no weekends, no holidays.
