About the role

UK Healthcare is seeking an Echocardiography Technician to perform accurate, high-quality diagnostic adult cardiac exams in accordance with ICAEL guidelines. The role requires a solid understanding of ultrasound equipment, medical terminology, and the cardiac disease process. The technician will perform precise measurements and calculations, obtain diagnostic data, and prepare findings for physician interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic adult cardiac ultrasound exams following ICAEL standards.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Accurately measure and calculate cardiac parameters.
• Collect and document diagnostic data for physician review.
• Conduct echocardiograms and stress testing in a patient care setting.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related field (Required).
• No prior experience required.
• Must obtain American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Diagnostic Sonographer certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification within one year of hire.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50–100 pounds daily.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases and injury from sharp instruments or intractable patients.

Skills

• Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and medical terminology.
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Allied Health degree.
• ARDMS certification (RDCS or RCS).
• 3–4 years of experience performing echocardiograms and stress testing.

Pay

$26.00 – $45.75 per hour.

Schedule

On-call position; Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. Weekends and holidays optional.
