Entry rate: $35.25/hour, depending on experience. This is a PRN (as-needed) position with no guaranteed hours and is not benefits-eligible.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of Angio/Interventional experience preferred, or 1–2 years of vascular or interventional experience.
Responsibilities
- Recognize emergent patient situations and respond appropriately.
- Function independently and as part of a team.
- Interact and communicate effectively with caregivers, patients, and visitors.
- Demonstrate understanding of anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency.
- Adhere to infection control and sterile techniques.
Required Licenses & Certifications
- ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (upon hire).
- BCLS – Basic Life Support (upon hire).
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (within 120 days, preferred).
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (within 120 days, required for pediatric hospitals).
- Relevant state licensure and/or certifications (upon hire).
- Vascular/Interventional radiography certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent verbal communication with care providers, patients, and visitors, including hearing and understanding spoken information, alarms, and needs quickly and accurately, especially during emergencies.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision, including frequent computer use and typing for documentation, accessing information, and medication preparation.
- Expected to lift and use full range of movement to transfer patients, bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining/distributing supplies and equipment, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment (often heavy items).
- Navigate crowded and busy rooms with equipment and power cords on the floor.
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for extended periods.
Pay
Hourly range: $35.60 – $54.93, dependent on experience.
