About the role

Interventional Radiology is a sub-specialty of radiology in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using image guidance. These doctors specialize in using nonsurgical techniques for targeted treatments.

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will maintain strong communication and organization within Interventional Radiology and across departments, working with radiologists and referring physicians. You will demonstrate critical thinking skills in daily job prioritization and assume accountability for personal and team contributions. You must be willing to enter a call rotation, including weekends and holidays, and cross-train in one or more modalities as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide solid expert knowledge of all Special/Interventional Procedures.
  • Deliver appropriate and positive patient care and exemplary customer service to patients ranging in age from newborn to late adulthood.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration within Interventional Radiology and with other departments, radiologists, and referring physicians.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills in day-to-day job prioritization.
  • Assume accountability for personal and team contributions.
  • Participate in call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
  • Cross-train in one or more modalities as required.

Requirements

  • Completion of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.
  • Current ARRT RT(R)(VI) or (CV) certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Interventional/Special Procedure experience preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • 1 year of experience required.

Qualifications include: Registered Nurse (RN), ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-VI (Vascular Interventional Radiography), or RVT (Registered Vascular Technician). Education: Registered Nurse Diploma or Vocational School Graduate.
