Interventional Radiology Technologist - Full-Time, Days

Job Summary

About the role

This role involves performing peripheral and neurological diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the supervision of a radiologist or physician. The technologist applies independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to execute procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Essential Functions

• Perform procedures proficiently, maintaining high quality standards.
• Aid radiologists or physicians with invasive procedures using sterile techniques.
• Prepare and administer contrast materials as prescribed within scope of practice.
• Ensure proper room preparation, safety, and supply management.
• Implement radiation safety measures and emergency procedures.
• Manage computer functions, record data accurately, and perform quality control tasks.
• Stay updated on departmental changes and participate in call rotations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of one year experience in radiology settings or clinical rotations considered in lieu.
• Certifications: ARRT registration preferred, SCRQSA certification (for South Carolina), and BLS certification.

Skills & Abilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and computers.
• Proficient in data entry, basic math, and computer literacy.
• Treat patients of all ages with compassion.
• Experience with Epic Radiant preferred.
