About the Role

The staff member is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activity of patient procedures to expedite workflow in the assigned area. Responsibilities include training specials technologists in all invasive procedures, film processing, and troubleshooting equipment failure, including quality control. This position may require assignments at either campus or access center and includes on-call coverage. Must live within 30 minutes of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assists and performs technical procedures on patients of all ages, particularly adults.
  • Provides on-call coverage as required.
  • Transports, stocks, prepares, or administers contrast media as dictated by scope of practice regulations.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with creativity and latitude.
  • Uses or learns to use the department's computerized system and associated devices.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized program in Radiologic Technology (Associate Degree preferred).
  • One year of Radiologic Technology experience required; Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology (Vascular Interventional Radiology preferred).
  • Current Connecticut License.
