Interventional Radiology Technologist

About the Role

You will work directly with radiologists, nurses, and radiology technologists during vascular/interventional and neuroradiology procedures in a busy IR department at our Level I trauma center. This role involves complex and interesting work, requiring quick decision-making, independent work, and expertise in inventory and use of guide wires, catheters, balloons, and stents. The position includes an on-call commitment above the hired FTE status, with an expectation to take call and live within a 30-minute callback time of Regions Hospital.

Schedule

Monday-Friday day shift with call rotation, consisting of a mix of 8-hour and 10-hour days.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures in collaboration with radiologists, nurses, and technologists.
• Manage inventory and use of specialized equipment such as guide wires, catheters, balloons, and stents.
• Make quick, independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond within 30 minutes when called back.

Requirements

• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited program of Radiologic Technology or the ARRT-approved equivalent.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) on or before the first day of employment.
• BLS certification from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program on or before the first day of employment.
• Must live within a 30-minute callback time of Regions Hospital.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of interventional radiology experience.

Pay

The full salary range for this position is $40.70-$56.68 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differentials.
