Interventional Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with cardiac, neuro, body, and vascular-interventional procedures independently.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation exposure in compliance with laws and policies.
• Operate imaging equipment, evaluate image quality, and ensure proper data storage and transfer.
• Maintain sterile technique and intra-arterial access, monitor patient physiology, and participate in physiological monitoring.
• Operate and ensure quality control of hemodynamic and monitoring devices; initiate ACLS protocols as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers; participate in quality improvement activities.
• Record and assess hemodynamic and electrogram data during procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certifications from the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT-R, ARRT-VI, ARRT-CI, or ARRT-CV); advanced certifications preferred.
• Graduate of a radiologic technology training program.
• Certifications in advanced cardiac procedures and ACLS; PALS certification desirable.
• Proficiency in imaging protocols, patient safety, sterile techniques, and physiological monitoring.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.
