About the Role
Under supervision, performs complex radiology examinations and interventional procedures in various specialized labs, assisting in diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality radiologic procedures using appropriate techniques and safety measures as directed by licensed physicians.
- Prepare sterile setups, assemble instruments, catheters, guidewires, and contrast materials based on procedure requirements.
- Assist physicians with catheterizations, treatments, and device placements such as balloons and coils.
- Develop and implement procedure or treatment plans following hospital protocols.
- Complete documentation to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities to uphold patient care standards.
- Fulfill assigned goals and additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology Program.
- Minimum of 1 year as a radiology technologist, with 6 months in IR/Cath lab/EP preferred.
- Registered with ARRT in Radiography.
- BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
- Registry in Vascular Interventional ARRT (VI) preferred.
Skills
- Thorough understanding of radiologic principles, proper technique, and positioning.
- Ability to follow instructions, plan, and organize work effectively.
