About the role
The Interventional Radiology Technician will assist in various interventional procedures, prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure accurate diagnostic images are obtained. They will work under the supervision of a physician and department leadership, maintaining a safe, sterile, and organized procedure room while adhering to facility protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for interventional procedures
- Operate imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
- Maintain a safe, sterile, and organized procedure room
- Follow facility protocols and adhere to safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with supervising physician and clinical team members
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of procedures
Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- IR certification preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills including patience, empathy, and professionalism
- Clear and effective communication with patients and clinical team members
- Quick critical-thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist in patient positioning
