Interventional Radiology-Registered Nurse, Nursing Operations

About the role

This position involves providing competent, evidence-based procedural care to assigned patients and overseeing staff, including licensed vocational/practical nurses and/or health technicians/nursing assistants.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients undergoing invasive procedures.
• Coordinate patient care delivery to ensure adherence to established standards of practice, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in directing nursing education, orientation, competencies, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Perform duties such as recording, circulating, and monitoring patients during invasive procedures.
• Administer hemodynamic and moderate sedation monitoring, medication administration, and provide pre-and post-care to patients.
• Maintain knowledge of supplies and equipment used in the invasive procedures area.
• May be required to take call.

Requirements

This position requires U.S. citizenship and may require flexible scheduling and call coverage. It also necessitates proficiency in English and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by an accrediting agency.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
• Experience in direct patient care and nursing education.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in nursing.

Competitive salary, regular salary increases, and potential for performance awards. Paid time off, retirement benefits, and health insurance are provided. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 0730-1600, with rotating call. Telework and virtual work are not available.
