About the role
This posting is for multiple full time openings at St Peter's Hospital Olympia, WA. Providence is dedicated to delivering high-quality service to our community and introducing neurosurgery interventions to enhance stroke response and thrombectomy procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provides quality care to patients.
- Affords assistance with Interventional Radiology procedures proficiently with various physician types, Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Neurosurgeons) to achieve desired outcomes.
- Participates in the growth and development of the DI department and contributes ideas.
- Brings ideas of improvement to the attention of Management.
- Plans, coordinates, and ensures quality care is provided to patients in the Interventional Radiology (IR) Department.
- Affords assistance to Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Neurosurgeons and Diagnostic Imaging RNs to achieve desired outcomes in IR.
- Provides guidance and participates in the development and growth of the IR department.
- Contributes to the development and training of IR Technologists.
- Contributes to operational processes in IR which include but not limited to patient schedule management, IR supply oversight, environment of care, Department of Health, Joint Commission inspections, Radiation Safety, Dosimetry, and policy development.

Qualifications
Radiology Interventional Technologist
- Two years community college/vocational training in a certified radiological technologist training program. Or equivalent education/experience.
- Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist.
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Healthcare related Bachelors Degree.
- ARRT Credentials in Vascular Interventional Radiography.
- One year experience to include the equivalent of previous special procedures and/or cardiac catheterization experience with responsibilities for assisting on Angiographic and other high risk procedures.
Senior Radiology Interventional Technologist
- Coursework/Training and Two years community college/vocational training in a certified radiological technologist training program. Or equivalent education/experience.
- Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist.
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Three years of previous experience to include the equivalent of three years previous special procedures and or cardiac catheterization experience with responsibilities for assisting on Angiographic and other high risk procedures.
- Healthcare related Bachelors Degree.
- ARRT Credentials in Vascular Interventional Radiography.
