Interventional Radiologist needed in VA
Augusta Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist to join our expanding Radiology Practice located in the picturesque Shenandoah Valley.
About the role
- Daytime IR procedure schedule with no IR call after 5:00 p.m.
- Support staff includes 3 IR MDs, PA, and IR RN support.
- Newly renovated IR Suite with 2 IR labs.
- Average annual wRVUs ~7,216.
- Collegial medical staff and large network for gaining new patients.
- Y-90 radioembolization program in development; energetic candidates with advanced oncology procedure experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong collaboration with referring physicians (urology, GI, vascular surgery, oncology, ED) is essential.
- Diagnostic reading flexibility is a strong plus; candidates willing to read general radiology alongside IR work add substantial value.
Responsibilities
- Perform full community IR case mix, including Y-90, TACE, and ablation procedures.
- Grow the oncology IR service line.
- Engage in clinic-based longitudinal patient management.
- Build and maintain relationships with referring physicians and internal teams.
Requirements
- MD/DO with Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited IR/DR residency or Diagnostic Radiology residency plus Interventional Radiology fellowship.
- Procedural competency across the full community IR case mix; Y-90, TACE, or ablation training is a plus.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Virginia.
- Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration and relationship-building.
Pay
- Minimum base salary plus bonus totaling $616,282 annually.
- Sign-on bonus: $20,000.
- Relocation assistance: up to $10,000 (receipt-based).
- CME allowance: $4,200 annually.
