About the role
Chief of Interventional Radiology, leading a dynamic and expanding IR section within a major academic health system.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a broad range of interventional procedures including angiography, embolizations, ablations, TIPS, and venous access
- Provide subspecialized IR services
- Participate in resident, fellow, and medical student education
- Support research initiatives
- Contribute to clinical excellence and innovation
- Lead a team of interventional radiologists
- Collaborate within a system-wide division of 30 IRs
- Utilize state-of-the-art equipment
- Support the development of outpatient IR services at new facilities
Qualifications
- MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
- Board certified in IR/DR
- Completion of IR/DR residency or fellowship at an ACGME-accredited institution
- Leadership experience
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted NYS Medical License
Skills
Preferred candidates hold academic ranks of Associate or Full Professor.
