About the role

The Interventional Psychiatry Program Director will direct a new interventional psychiatry program in the Ambulatory Care Division of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at UC Irvine. This will include providing clinical administrative oversight of the program, supervising additional faculty delivering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and other rapid acting therapeutic agents, education residents and fellows, and where appropriate, overseeing research activities involving TMS and other neurotherapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee research activities involving TMS and other neurotherapeutic interventions (where appropriate)

Requirements

  • M.D. degree and eligibility to be certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Eligibility for a California Medical License
  • Demonstrated and established track record in TMS based therapeutics
  • Track record of conducting mechanistic research using TMS as a tool and/or clinical trials of neuromodulation in serious mental disorders including major depression, OCD, and psychotic disorders

Benefits

Salaries are based on University of California salary scales, which are dependent on academic rank and step, and commensurate with experience. Clinically active faculty may be eligible for additional compensation based on productivity.
