Interventional Neurologist - Locum Tenens

About the role

This inpatient clinician role involves providing neurointerventional coverage in an on-site facility. The position requires managing acute stroke cases, evaluating new admissions, and supporting neuroendovascular procedures. The clinician must independently handle 24/7 neuroendovascular call duties, respond to emergency stroke alerts, and deliver comprehensive inpatient care for adult patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient neuroendovascular services
• Respond to stroke alerts and emergency department cases
• Evaluate and treat admitted patients
• Provide procedural support and consultations as needed

Requirements

• Board certification in relevant specialty
• Ability to perform neuroendovascular procedures independently
• Experience in managing acute stroke patients
• Strong assessment and emergency response skills

Schedule

• Approximately one week per month, with a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule
• Work hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 24/7 call coverage for neuroendovascular emergencies

Work Environment

Inpatient setting with adult patient population.
