Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in the performance of endoscopic and various complex interventional cases.
• Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy.
• Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Performs clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
• Assembles and maintains patient chart material, maintains records and files, maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation.
• Completes charges for patients.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program Preferred
• Work Experience: 4 years Four (4) years of Endoscopy Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• Upon Hire Required GTS Certification
• PREFERRED: AGTS Certification
