Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to the physician in performing endoscopic and various complex interventional cases.
- Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order.
- Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy.
- Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Performs clerical duties as necessary to ensure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
- Assembles and maintains patient chart material, maintains records and files, maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation.
- Completes charges for patients.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- Graduate of GI/OR Technology program Preferred.
- Four (4) years of Endoscopy Tech experience Required.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Current AHA BLS Certification required upon hire.
- Preferred GTS Certification.
- Preferred AGTS Certification.
