Interventional Cardiologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

Seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide inpatient care at a 250-bed facility. The role involves day, night, and 24-hour weekend call coverage, supporting comprehensive cardiac services within an on-site hospital setting in Virginia, offering outdoor and cultural activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient interventional cardiology services
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as balloon angioplasty, coronary angioplasty, PCI, heart catheterization, vascular disease management, coronary angiograms, embolic protection, carotid stenting, and atherectomy
• Provide call coverage including nights and weekends
• Manage adult patient population
• Exercise prescriptive authority as required

Requirements

• Board certification in Interventional Cardiology
• Experience with procedures such as PCI, angioplasty, and stenting
• Ability to work flexible shifts including call responsibilities
