About the role

As an Interventional Cardiologist with North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL, you will be part of a nationally recognized healthcare organization centered on caring with a local heart for the communities we serve. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the hospital's mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in northwest Alabama, south-central Tennessee, and northeast Mississippi.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art facilities including 4 cath labs, a hybrid suite, and open heart ORs to perform interventional procedures.
  • Collaborate with a strong APP support team (CV PA-Cs) to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in teaching opportunities with residency programs to support the next generation of healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in innovative research and clinical trials to advance the field of interventional cardiology.

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and/or Interventional Cardiology.
  • Current license to practice medicine in the state of Alabama.
  • Experience in interventional cardiology, including successful completion of at least 500 percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease or Interventional Cardiology fellowship program.
  • At least 3 years of post-fellowship experience in interventional cardiology.
  • Active membership in relevant medical societies.
