Interventional Angiologist

About the Role

Responsible for performing Angiography procedures, including scrubbing, setting techniques, and capturing images. You will support the imaging team by ensuring quality procedures, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols. The position involves assisting as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech, providing patient education, preparing patients, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Angiography procedures, including scrubbing and setting techniques
  • Capture and ensure quality of medical images
  • Maintain and operate interventional radiology (IR) equipment
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
  • Assist as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech as needed
  • Provide patient education and preparation
  • Ensure accurate documentation and follow protocols for medical necessity
  • Respond to emergent situations effectively
  • Maintain licensure and stay updated on relevant certifications

Requirements

  • ARRT certification
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • Relevant state licensure
  • Anatomical knowledge and understanding of IR equipment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

  • Preferred: 1-2 years of interventional experience
  • Preferred: VIR (Vascular-Interventional Radiography) certification
