Special Education Teacher / Intervention Specialist

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Teaching License
• Ability to meet all state, federal, and local employment requirements
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to supporting students with special needs
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience
• Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification
• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement

Compensation

Pay Rate: $45.00 per hour
Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,800

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Intervention Specialists / Special Education Teachers to join a supportive school district in East Cleveland, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Deliver academic support in ELA, Math, and other instructional areas as appropriate
• Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and parent conferences
• Create a positive, structured, and safe learning environment
• Support student growth academically, socially, and behaviorally
