About the role
I Am Boundless is seeking an Intervention Specialist to join our team. Boundless is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and has been serving Ohio for over 40 years. The Intervention Specialist will play a crucial role in developing and implementing instruction for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and co-occurring disorders using trauma-informed care and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement instruction for students with ASD and co-occurring disorders using principles of trauma-informed care and ABA.
- Design functional learning activities in the natural environment.
- Monitor and report on progress students make toward identified educational goals in grades pre-k through 12th grade (depending on classroom placement).
- Guide classroom support staff in assisting with educational instruction activities and implementation of designated intensive teaching sessions.
- Lead designated skill set/project meetings in collaboration with supervisors.
- Attend regular meetings with the clinical team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited school.
- One to two years of work experience as a Licensed Intervention Specialist.
- Successful completion and maintenance of required training including but not limited to first aid, CPR, physical crisis management training, and certifications applicable to the assigned program.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record, if applicable.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Intervention Specialist License issued by Ohio Department of Education.
