Position Overview
EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated and qualified Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher to support students in achieving academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and targeted interventions aligned with students’ learning needs and IEP goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions based on individual student needs.
- Conduct virtual and/or in-person assessments to identify strengths and areas for growth.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention and instructional plans.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure consistent student support.
- Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, and service logs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teaching License.
- Experience working with students with disabilities and implementing IEPs.
- Experience in virtual or hybrid instruction is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with online learning platforms and educational technology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
