Job Scope

Consecutive interpretation - Live conversation Doctor & Patient, Banker and client etc...

Working Hours

100% night shift that changes monthly. Entry points can be any hour from 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am etc. (8 hours online per shift, 40 hours online per week MINIMUM)

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely
• Able to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client
• B2 CEFR English Level bilingual with other required languages
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers to understand and communicate to each other
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render the meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of English
• Process information quickly and concisely, recognize sensitive cultural differences, and maintain professionalism and courtesy
• The interpreter will use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices. The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.

Skill

• Bilingual in Cantonese-English-Cantonese
• B2 CEFR English Level
