About the role
As an intern at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, you will directly contribute to the trust and confidence in the nation’s financial system through challenging work assignments and rewarding professional experiences. The internship opportunities will be available on several teams within the SRM division and will last approximately 10 weeks. We focus on personal development and growth and reward high performance with increasingly complex assignments and promotional opportunities.
Key Activities
- Completes a variety of projects and assignments, ranging from quantitative analytical work to qualitative presentations and write-ups.
- Assists on bank examinations by conducting financial analysis and reviewing compliance with laws and regulations, including those focused on consumer protection.
- Evaluates statutory and other relevant factors that must be considered in connection with processing a bank application.
- Provides continuous improvement recommendations on the use of internal websites and automated tools.
- Presents oral and written findings and assessments to Federal Reserve Bank Management.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate students with a graduation date between May 2027 - May 2028, or current graduate students.
- Studying a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a business-related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem solving, initiative, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

$21.00 per hour (Oklahoma City)
Schedule
On-site, full-time with 5 days per month remote work flexibility. Travel required for Bank Examinations and to Kansas City Headquarters for onboarding and offboarding.
