Internship, Soft Trim & Seat Design, Design Studio (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Internship Recruiting Team is driven by the passion to recognize and develop emerging talent. Our year-round program places the best students in positions where they will grow technically, professionally, and personally through their experience working closely with their Manager, Mentor, and team.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development of seat trim covers
• Support Tesla's release process
• Support the creation and modification of CATIA drawings
• Attend supplier meetings to follow up on tasks and address issues
• Manage ongoing projects within the program

Requirements

Interns must currently be pursuing a degree in a relevant engineering program such as textile engineering or a related field. They should have a strong background in technical concepts, production and manufacturing processes, and part and assembly design. Experience with CAD modeling is required, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.

Qualifications

Interns must demonstrate the ability to deliver results on difficult projects with tight deadlines. They should be able to work 40 hours per week on-site, typically from August to December 2026, and be able to work full-time (40 hours/week).

Skills

Strong technical skills, particularly in CAD modeling, are essential. Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt quickly to new challenges are also crucial.

Pay

Compensation and benefits for full-time Tesla interns include medical plans, dental and vision plans, company-paid life, AD&D, and short-term disability insurance, paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation time, and Tesla employee discounts and perks.

Schedule

Interns will work full-time (40 hours/week) on-site from August to December 2026.
