Internship, Industrial Design, Design Studio (Fall 2026)
About the role
The Internship Recruiting Team is driven by the passion to recognize and develop emerging talent. Our year-round program places the best students in positions where they will grow technically, professionally, and personally through their experience working closely with their Manager, Mentor, and team. We provide an experience that allows the intern to experience life at Tesla by including them in projects that are critical to their team’s success.
Responsibilities
- Provide creative and relevant conceptual thinking for a variety of projects
- Utilize Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create visual presentations and design assets
- Communicate designs through hand-sketching, rendering, and other visual storytelling techniques
- Create detailed 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks, Alias, or Rhino to support design development
- Engage in hands-on foam sculpting and physical prototyping
- Collaborate cross-functionally with 3D digital modeling, engineering, retail development, and marketing teams to deliver effective and design solutions
- Assist with graphic design tasks when needed, using a good eye for layout and visuals
Requirements
You must be currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design or a related field. Previous internship and/or project experience is a plus.

Pay
$20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
