INTERNSHIP - SIMULIA R&D Operations AI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI Engineer Intern to complement R&D efforts, specifically focusing on improving our code coverage for the SIMULIA code base. The SIMULIA R&D Team is exploring how to use AI technologies within R&D Operations to accelerate increasing code coverage for our vast code base.

Responsibilities

• Write Unit Tests and System level tests to cover the SIMULIA code base.
• Work with AI tools to optimize effort and define best practices.
• Participate in team and status meetings.
• Develop tools and utilities to improve efficiency.
• Create dashboards to visualize data and develop reports.
• Document best practices based on learnings for SIMULIA R&D to adopt later.
• Learn about our C++, Java, JavaScript, and Fortran code base.
• Assist in establishing tools, processes, and dashboards.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a Master's or PhD program at a college or university for the duration of the internship.
• Coding experience in Python or another programming language.
• Great attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI technology.
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in simulation software testing or development.

Pay

The total expected compensation range for this role is between $22 and $40 per hour, commensurate with experience.
